Job Title: Accounting Technician
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience: 1–2 years of accounting experience
Education: Diploma or Certificate in Accounting considered an asset
About the Role:
Peterson Walker LLP is currently seeking an Accounting Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of accounting experience who is looking to advance their career in a professional and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare compilation engagement files, including working papers and financial statements
- Bookkeeping and accounting tasks for clients
- Prepare and file GST returns
- Complete T1 Personal Tax Returns
- Prepare T2 Corporate Tax Returns
- Prepare and file T4 and T5 slips
- Perform general accounting duties as required
Qualifications:

Diploma or certificate in accounting considered an asset

1–2 years of experience in an accounting firm or related role

Familiarity with Canadian tax filings and reporting requirements

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Experience with accounting software is an asset
